1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using VeraGoo ("Service," "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("user," "you") and VeraGoo ("we," "us," "our"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the "Last Updated" date above and, where appropriate, through notice within the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of Service

VeraGoo is an online strategy games platform accessible at veragoo.com offering a curated catalog of competitive board and strategy games, including backgammon, Stratego, and additional titles added over time. The Service offers real-time multiplayer matches, puzzle training, AI-assisted coaching, match history, ELO rating tracking, social features, and optional paid subscription plans (Club and Pro).

These Terms apply to all games and features available on the VeraGoo platform, both now and in the future. When a new game or feature is added to the platform, your continued use constitutes acceptance of these Terms as they apply to that game or feature.

We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue games or features of the Service at any time with reasonable notice. We do not guarantee the Service will be available at all times or free from errors.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to register an account. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.

The Service is not available to users who have been suspended or permanently banned from the platform.

4. User Accounts

Guest play is available without registration. To access full features you must create an account.

• Registration: You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep it updated. You may authenticate using a supported third-party provider (e.g., Google).
• Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@veragoo.com of any unauthorized access.
• One Account Rule: Creating multiple accounts to circumvent suspensions, bans, or feature limits is prohibited and may result in permanent removal from the platform.
• Termination by Us: We may suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion if we determine you have violated these Terms, with or without prior notice depending on severity.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

VeraGoo offers a free tier and paid subscription plans (Club, Pro). By subscribing to a paid plan:

• Billing: You authorize us to charge the applicable subscription fee to your payment method on file on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, as selected).
• Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
• Refunds: We do not issue refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by applicable law or at our discretion in cases of service failure.
• Price Changes: We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with at least 30 days' prior notice. Continued use after the effective date of a price change constitutes acceptance.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Access to paid features continues until the end of the current billing period.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited conduct:

• Use bots, scripts, automated tools, or any other means to gain an unfair advantage in gameplay.
• Cheat, exploit software bugs, or use unauthorized third-party software during matches.
• Harass, threaten, abuse, stalk, or intimidate other users.
• Post or transmit unlawful, defamatory, obscene, fraudulent, hate, or offensive content.
• Infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party.
• Circumvent, disable, or interfere with access controls or security features of the Service.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract source code from the Service.
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to collect data from the Service without written consent.
• Impersonate another person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation.
• Use the Service for commercial solicitation without prior written consent from VeraGoo.
• Transmit any malware, viruses, or other harmful code.

Violations may result in immediate account suspension, permanent ban, and where applicable, referral to law enforcement.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, software, algorithms, game engine logic, graphics, trademarks, trade dress, and other technology comprising the Service are owned by or licensed to VeraGoo and are protected by copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-sublicensable, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. This license does not grant you any rights in our intellectual property beyond what is necessary to use the Service.

8. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service, including chat messages, usernames, and profile information ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant VeraGoo a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, perpetual license to use, reproduce, display, and distribute your User Content in connection with operating and promoting the Service.

You are solely responsible for your User Content. You represent and warrant that your User Content does not violate any third-party rights or applicable law. We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms without notice.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. ANY MATERIAL DOWNLOADED OR OTHERWISE OBTAINED THROUGH THE SERVICE IS DONE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so the above exclusions may not apply to you.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, VERAGOO AND ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, LICENSORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY AND WHETHER OR NOT WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) FIFTY US DOLLARS ($50).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation or exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless VeraGoo, its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents, and licensors from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your breach of these Terms; (c) your User Content; or (d) your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party.

12. Third-Party Services

The Service may contain links to, or integrate with, third-party websites, applications, or services (including authentication providers and payment processors). These third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. VeraGoo has no control over and assumes no responsibility for third-party content, practices, or terms.

13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms and any dispute arising from them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Before initiating any formal proceeding, you agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute by contacting us at legal@veragoo.com and engaging in good-faith negotiation for at least 30 days. If the dispute is not resolved through negotiation, it shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except that either party may seek emergency injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent irreparable harm.

14. Class Action Waiver

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YOU WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO BRING OR PARTICIPATE IN ANY CLASS ACTION, COLLECTIVE ACTION, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING AGAINST VERAGOO. ALL CLAIMS MUST BE BROUGHT ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, unenforceable, or void, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

16. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will post the revised Terms on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. For material changes, we will provide additional notice such as an in-app notification or email. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
